I went along with my team mates for a group dinner at "Hyatt Regency Chennai". We all waited empty stomach since morning for this. Hyatt's ambience is really one of the best hotels I had visited. Obviously center of attraction for all of us was food. As all of us know Hyaat has very high standard due to its high class visitors, whose expectations are also very high. Now coming to point what striked my mind was the menu which was displayed below each food item. I saw lot of foreigners that i.e. Non-Indians who were visiting the food counter and were confused. They do not have any information about what actually is "Lal Mirchi Bharwa". Even being Indian I was confused with some of the food items , so it was pretty obvious for Non-Indian to have any knowledge about the dish. We must know basic things about the food which we are going to eat. Also we know few people in the world are allergic to some of the food items . So people eating should know basic constituents of the food. Also lot of people are very very sensitive about the calorific value of the food like how much carbohydrate, protein, cholestrol , suagar and salt the particular food item has.
Now we are done with problems, lets come to solution section- Hyatt can use electronic display for each food item. These electronic displays will be placed below each food item. I suggest it should be touch screen where people can get information like "About the Food","Constituents of the Food" and "Calorific value of the Food". It will greatly improve the customer experience and surely will provide the customer satisfaction. Cheap and very effective solution
